Since yesterday was Mother's Day, I want to take the time this Monday to crush on all the moms out there no matter how you became a mom... Moms of one kid, moms of multiple kids, single moms, step-moms, adoptive moms, foster moms and even moms that have children that are no longer with us on earth. You have sacrificed so much of yourself for your children in so many different ways... mentally, physically and emotionally and you deserve more recognition than you will ever get.
This is the toughest job you will ever have with little to no pats on the back. And I am in awe of all of you and your capacity to carry through the days with strength and poise even when things feel like they falling apart. I know there are good days and bad days, tough days and easy days, days you are stressed to the max and days you are filled with joy, days you feel invisible and days you feel like the center of the universe. These days can go by painstakingly slow while the years seem to fly by. But at the end of the day, it is not important that you are the most perfect or the most patient or the most organized. What is important is that you are showing up every day as their mother with love and good intentions.
