This week, as promised, I am taking you into my freezer to show you what I keep stocked in there that helps me make delicious simple meals for my family. Mostly you'll find meats, fruits and veggies and few other extras. We aren't pork eaters and I am not a fan of fish so I didn't talk about those two things but I included them in the list below. So check out the video to see for yourself and don't forget to check the links below for additional recipes.
Garlic Thyme Roasted Chicken Wings - You can use this recipe for any part of the chicken but it just so happens my favorite way is with wings.
Yummy "Ice Cream" - This recipe works well with any frozen fruit and will usually fix and ice cream craving.
In My Freezer (plus what is not)
Meats - Keep a variety of cuts available
Chicken - Whole Chicken, Legs, Breast, Wings, Whole Legs, Thighs
Beef - Flank, Ribeye and a stew cut (pick any cut you like)
Fish - Fillets of your favorite fish but please avoid Tilapia! I don't like fish but I make it every once in a while for my hubby.
Pork - Pork chops, ground pork, pork roast and of course bacon. We don't eat pork so we have turkey bacon.
Ground Meat - Beef, Turkey, Chicken, Pork... Your choice
Sausages - Spicy, Sweet, Savory... Chicken, Pork or Turkey
Smoked Meat - Turkey Legs or Thighs
Vegetables - Peas, Broccoli, Spinach, Greens Beans (veggies you commonly use) and corn (not really a veggie)
Fruit - Mango, Peaches, Nectarines, Berries (your choice)
Fruit Pops ;-)
Prepackaged food for meals - not a first choice but sometimes necessary but make sure they aren't full of crap. Read your labels!
