Homemade Playdough

Homemade Playdough

Why would you want to make homemade playdough? It's simple, cost much less than store bought and if your kids decide to eat it it's no big deal. Plus, this is a recipe that you can do with your kids that won't drive you crazy. I promise!

1 cup White Flour

1/4 cup Salt

2 Tbs Cream of Tatar

1 Tbs Oil

1 cup Water

Food Coloring

Combine dry ingredients in a pot. Add oil and water and cook over medium heat for 3-5 mins. Once you stir it together, it will first look like a gooey mess. At this point, add food coloring to achieve the color you want. Continue to stir so it won't stick to your pot until it reaches the consistency you want. Take the play dough out of the pot and let cool until you can knead lightly for a bit. Then hand over to your kids along with a few "tools" and let them have at it. You can store the playdough in tightly sealed canisters or plastic bags.
